About Dr. Nelson
Dr. Erik O. Nelson, ND, is a board-certified Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and graduate of the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe, Arizona. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology from the University of New England in Maine.
During his training at SCNM, Dr. Nelson was an active member of the Center for Integrative Naturopathic Research, collaborating externally with Arizona State University’s Biodesign Institute in the Department of Infectious Disease. His work has been featured in multiple peer-reviewed journals, covering diverse topics such as Sports Medicine, Virology, Botanical Medicine, Dermatology, Infectious Disease, and Lyme Disease.

A proud Granite State native, Dr. Nelson grew up in Seacoast New Hampshire and graduated from Spaulding High School in Rochester as a scholar-athlete. His lifelong passion for soccer spans over two decades—as both player and coach, from U-5 youth teams through Division III collegiate competition. He holds an NSCAA National Diploma and a U.S. Soccer Federation coaching license.
When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find Dr. Nelson on the soccer field or cheering on U.S. Soccer, the New England Revolution, Manchester United, the Patriots, and the Bruins.
